The New Moon
The new moon energies are present right now. The official new moon was 2 days ago, Oct 8, 2018, but the energies typically last for a few days prior. What should you know about a new moon?
Opposite of a full moon, a new moon is an optimal time to manifest that which you desire. It is a powerful time to embrace growth & positive changes in your life.
Personally, we celebrated with a Vision Board Party. What is a Vision Board? You can find many answers with a search engine search but I like to describe a vision board as whatever it is you feel drawn to create at the moment. The idea is to take photos and words to illustrate a life you want to manifest and are ready to build. For mine this time around I broke it up into 3 sections. The first section included friends, love, travel & fun. The second section I devoted to self-awareness and growth along with family. The third section I devoted to my businesses and where I see that going. You could create a vision board on your own or get a group together for even more fun.
Take advantage of this new moon and consider doing all or some of the following:
- Create a vision board or write out what you want for life. This can be in general or specific for one facet of your life. I find that starting without a specific plan leaves it open and more authentic.
- Think about who you want to be & what you can do to grow into that person. Visualize how you feel as this person. Feelings are so important.
- Develop a new positive habit. Start now. Put it on your calendar as a reminder.
- Do something you’ve been putting off; unfinished business can create blockages for growth.
- Learn a new skill. What have you been wanting to sign up for? Go. Do that.
- Create a positive mantra. Recite this every day. An example might be “I am happy, healthy, loving and continue to manifest everything I desire in life.”
- Meditate. Even 5 minutes of meditation can help you immensely.
